Keyfobs

The Keyfobs page enables you to view, search, add, edit, and delete keyfobs.

The Keyfob is a small security device with built-in authentication.

Viewing or Searching for a Keyfob

The Keyfobs page lists the keyfobs, along with the Starting Zone Number, Is Paired, Keyfob Type, User Name, Button Type, and Serial Number/MAC.

To search for a keyfob:

  1. In the AlarmNet 360 home page, type the City-CS-Sub or MAC ID of the device and then click Search.
    The account number, along with the device details, appears.

  2. Under Actions, select Edit and then click the icon. The Account Overview page appears.

  3. In the left pane, click Keyfobs.

  4. Type the Serial Number in the search bar and then press Enter. The relevant keyfob is listed.

Adding a Keyfob

The Add Keyfob option enables you to create a new keyfob. You can select the number of buttons for different actions.

To add a new keyfob:

  1. In the Keyfobs page, select Add Keyfob. The Add New Keyfob dialog box appears.

Notes:

  • Select a keyfob type (RF 5800 or RF SIX) and then click to read, learn, and enroll the keyfob with the system. You can select:

    • RF 5800: The system learns only the Serial Number of the keyfob.

    • RF SIX: The system learns the Serial Number and the No. of Keys of the keyfob.

  • During the learning mode, you must trip the keyfob to complete the enrollment.

  • DO NOT close the browser window when the panel is in Learn mode. Else, the panel will remain in STANDBY mode for 10 minutes.

  1. Enter the following:

Fields

Description

Type

From the Type list, select the keyfob type.

No. of Keys

From the list, select the total number of buttons that must be present in the key.

Available Starting Zones

From the list, select the next available key zone.

Serial Number/MAC

Type the serial number for the key.

User Name

From the list, select the user to whom the keyfob must be assigned.

  1. Click Save. A confirmation message appears.

  2. Click OK.

Notes:

  • The Save and Add Another option in the Add New Keyfob dialog box, enables you to save the newly created keyfob and then add another keyfob.

  • Click Cancel to cancel adding the keyfob.

Editing a Keyfob

With the relevant access permission, you can edit the existing keyfobs.

To edit a keyfob:

  1. From the keyfobs list, click the  icon against the relevant keyfob. The Edit Keyfob dialog box appears.

  2. You can edit the relevant fields and then click Save.

Note:

The following fields are disabled.

  • Type

  • No. Of Keys

  • Available Starting Zones

  • Serial Number

Deleting a Keyfob

With the relevant access permission, you can delete the existing keyfobs.

To delete a keyfob:

  1. From the keyfobs list, click the icon against the relevant keyfob.
    A warning message appears.

  2. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
